New vocabulary!

We have been learning lots of new words and discovering their meanings.
This week one reading group looked at how the author used the word 'lunge' to create mystery.
Today we discussed the word 'transparent' as a synonym for see through.
Below, add any new words you discover. Include their meaning and any synonyms.
(This photo shows some of us connecting with the meaning of the word lunge.)

Term 3 Week 2

Wow what a busy week.
Grandparents Mass, open classrooms, investigating the properties of different materials, scripture story retells and a Mini Vinnies presentation, are just a few of the different activities Year 2 participated in this week.
Thanks for another great week!

Term 3- Buildings

Welcome back to term 3.

This term we are learning about playgrounds and playground games, past and present.

This week, we began to investigate the differences between built and natural environments.

Below are some pictures of building you created in teams. There are skyscrapers, skateparks, helipads and houses just to name a few. All of your buildings are examples of built environments.

Mrs Shelton and I were blown away with how creative you were with your buildings.  Well done Year 2!

Comment below on what you and your group built and tell us what the purpose of your building was. Let us know what you enjoyed about this activity.
