Term 3- Buildings

Welcome back to term 3. 

This term we are learning about playgrounds and playground games, past and present. 

This week, we began to investigate the differences between built and natural environments. 

Below are some pictures of building you created in teams. There are skyscrapers, skateparks, helipads and houses just to name a few. All of your buildings are examples of built environments.

Mrs Shelton and I were blown away with how creative you were with your buildings.  Well done Year 2!

    Great effort year 2 all your buildings are so good. Today I liked how we were listening what Mrs Bulgeries was telling us about her playgrounds when she was at school. Mrs Shelton did not have a playground at school but she went to a playground after school. The playgrounds now are very different🚵🏻🚶🏼🏃🏾

      I am glad that you enjoyed listening and visualising playgrounds from the past today Sophie. I wonder if you, or anyone else, can think of some ways that playgrounds today are very different?

    My group (Hamish, Helena and Hannah) built a house. I enjoyed working with my group to build the house and I had lots of fun. I also liked looking at everybody else's creations.

    In my group there were 4 of us , Ben B, Kayla, Mackenzie, and me, Hayden.
    We chose to build a house out of blocks.
    We made a 4 wall house with a floor, there were stairs at the front door, and a slide at the back door.
    I enjoyed working with this group.

    we built a house. the purpose was for people to live in. I liked building the house because I had fun with my friends.

    My group and I built a house. The purpose of the house for people to live in. I liked working in the group and building the house. It was fun!!!

    My Group was Harry, Zoe and Isabella, we made a circus. The purpose is for people to get entertainment and it makes people laugh. The best thing about this activity was when we put all the pieces that each group member had made and it came together to look like a fun circus.

    I was in Zac, Conner and Siennas group.I had lots of fun. our buliding used to be a sky scrapper .
