Making Blue Goo/Gak/Slime

This week we made blue goo. It was interesting to see how something can change when it is mixed with different elements.

It was fun to make the slime, predict what would happen and experiment with the different elements used.

Most of us found that the slime we made needed to be mixed really quickly and quite a lot before it begun to harden to the point that we could pick it up. Some groups added extra starch to theirs and their slime hardened faster.

Comment on what you enjoyed about this experiment and any new learnings.

  2. My favourite day last week was Thursday, when NRMA came to visit us at school. The man came to teach us about road safety and why we should wear helmets. The best part of the talk was when the man used a egg to explain why we need to wear seatbelts.

    1. I agree with you Hayden that egg show was very funny when the egg cracked and even though I did not have a helmet I was very interested in the show and when Tom.H was getting destrackded.

    4. It's true Hayden. The use of the egg was a great way to show us how important it is to wear a helmet and stay safe when on or near the road.
